Our unwavering focus is on building aftercare homes for boys and girls rescued from human sex trafficking. It’s a commitment to rehabilitation, empowerment, and the restoration of dreams.

Currently, we’re collaborating with Saving Hearts Together in Costa Rica. Together, we’re crafting a 40-acre rehab farm that is nothing short of miraculous. Here, young girls rescued from the sex trade find sanctuary. Through equestrian therapy, professional therapists, and a loving family atmosphere, their lives are reborn.

In 2018, my family and I made a collective decision to venture into the business world with a purpose. We recognized the dire need for employment opportunities in Guatemala, particularly among families struggling to make ends meet. With a vision to provide sustainable work and empower these communities, we established a shoe factory.

Despite initial hurdles, our shoe factory gradually gained momentum and became a great success. We witnessed firsthand the positive impact it had on the lives of our employees and their families. The factory not only provided financial stability but also instilled a sense of pride and purpose within the community.

Just as our business was flourishing, the world was hit by an unprecedented pandemic. The global health crisis brought about immense financial distress for numerous families, leaving them vulnerable and in need of support. While our online-based business managed to sustain itself, we recognized the urgency to extend our assistance beyond our factory walls.

In response to the growing needs of the community, we initiated the “Pies Descalzos” project, meaning “Barefoot.” This project aimed to provide shoes and food to those in small towns and orphan homes who were most affected by the pandemic. We understood that access to basic necessities was crucial for their well-being and sought to alleviate their suffering.

Through the “Pies Descalzos” project, we experienced the true blessings of commitment and compassion. Witnessing the smiles on the faces of children and families as they received our donations reaffirmed our belief in the power of collective action. We realized that our purpose extended far beyond running a successful business; it was about making a lasting impact on the lives of others.

As we continue our journey, we recognize the need for additional resources to expand the reach of our project. We are actively seeking new partners who share our vision and are willing to contribute to the well-being of children and families in need. By joining forces, we can create a sustainable and impactful change that transcends borders and transforms lives.

As the sun rises over this emerald paradise, farmers, with weathered hands and hearts full of hope, begin their day’s work. The pineapple farm is no ordinary venture; it’s a testament to the spirit of perseverance and ambition.

Currently, they boast an impressive 200,000 pineapples, each a testament to the labor of love that goes into their cultivation. But the farmers here dream big, for they understand the secrets of the earth they till.

Their goal for the year is nothing short of extraordinary: they plan to plant an additional 800,000 pineapples. A task that might seem daunting to some is met with enthusiasm, for they know the rewards that await them.

In these fertile acres, each pineapple plant thrives, producing a wealth of succulent fruit. They’ve mastered the art of planting approximately 20,000 pineapples in a single acre of land. The cost of buying and planting a single pineapple is a mere 10 cents, a small investment for a future so promising.

Patience is the name of the game in this thriving plantation. After 15 months, each pineapple matures, its value doubling or even tripling. These golden fruits, nurtured with care, can fetch prices ranging from 20 to 30 cents each.

But the magic doesn’t end with the harvest; it begins anew. With each pineapple they pluck, they find the power to give back. The first harvest brings not just sweet rewards but also something equally precious – the ability to generate three new suckers from the original plant. These offspring, tender and full of potential, are tenderly nurtured, destined to become the next generation of pineapple riches.

The pineapple farm is a gift that keeps on giving, a living, breathing example of sustainable agriculture that nurtures both the land and the community. It’s a promise for a brighter future.

If they can achieve their audacious goal of planting one million pineapples this year, a remarkable vision emerges. By 2025, a weekly harvest of 20,000 pineapples becomes the norm, bringing an average income of $4,000 each week, solely from the pineapples. That adds up to a yearly income of approximately $200,000, a sum that multiplies with each passing year.
